WEEK 1 – “Energy in Action”

Curiosity Club (Ages 3–6)

A playful introduction to energy in everyday life. From puffing air and blowing steam, to feeling the sun’s warmth and exploring big rescue machines, our littlest scientists will discover how energy makes things move, heat, and help.

Monday 22nd Sep – Science: Steam & Combustion

  • Join us for a 45-minute Science session, where your little scientist will explore puffing and blowing with safe props to see how air moves things, then watch a fun steam demonstration. A simple introduction to energy and motion.  Stay and play for the rest of the hour, while your child can discover all about the magic of STEM! 

Tuesday 23rd Sep – Technology: Solar Basics

  • Discover the impact of Solar heating in this 45-minute Technology session!  Play with coloured papers and filters to feel which colours warm up fastest in the sun. Discover that sunlight isn’t just bright — it’s heat too!  Stay and play for the rest of the hour, while your child can discover all about the magic of STEM!

Wednesday 24th Sep – Engineering: Energy at Work in Machines

  • Spend 45-minutes exploring the world of Engineering at Work.  Think Fire Trucks, careers in Energy- discover that machines need energy to help people.  Stay and play for the rest of the hour, while your child can discover all about the magic of STEM!
