WEEK 2 – “On the Road”
Senior Science Squad (Ages 10–12)
Every journey relies on science and engineering — from the design of vehicles to the strength of the roads beneath them. In this program, participants will take on bigger challenges: building and testing their own vehicles, engineering stronger roadways, and experimenting with gravity, momentum, and weight. Independent, practical projects that put real-world problem-solving to the test.
Monday 29th Sep – Technology: Build a Car or Truck
- Get creating, experimenting and designing for the afternoon! Design and assemble your own car or truck using kits and parts. Test for speed, durability, and creativity, then refine your build for better performance.
Tuesday 30th Sep – Engineering: Civil Construction at Work

Play an Engineer for the afternoon! Test road designs that can handle heavy loads. Test different surfaces and materials to see what keeps roads strong, safe, and long-lasting.
Wednesday 1st Oct – Science: Gravity, Corners & Weights
- Drop into an afternoon GRAVITY COMPETITION! Learn the push and pull of invisible force, test how weight and speed work together! Who will defy gravity the best?
